N.O.C.3. Firefly er pedal #2, designet og bygget av den 19 år gamle Nick Colquitt. 

Nick startet i det små og solgte til kompiser og bekjente, men så begynte ryktene å gå på internettforums og i musikerkretser. Nick bygger pedaler kun for å finansiere studiene og som han sier selv, så er dette kun på hobbybasis.

N.O.C.3. Firefly har en helt annen krets enn den nå meget populære Pure Drive pedalen, men kan allikevel beskrives som Pure Drive på steroider, kokt ned i en mindre boks med mer gain.  

KONTROLLER:

Firefly har en 3 posisjon toggle switch som switcher mellom tre forskjellige midrange voicinger:

Flat, slightly pushed og Humped.
EQ'en på Firefly er veldig nøytral og selv i "humped" posisjon er mellomtonene mindre pushy enn en 'TS type' pedal.

Den gir akkurat nok uten å bli for nasal eller ekstrem.

Tone - Sets the ratio of highs to lows. Clockwise- more highs, less lows. Counterclockwise- more lows, less highs. Think of it like a “see-saw” between the treble and bass.

Treble (internal trim) - This sets the overall level of the frequencies above 2 kHz. It is the trimmer in the middle. Use a small flathead screwdriver to adjust. Clockwise for more treble, counter clockwise for less. Be aware that where you have the “Tone” control set will also affect how you set the “Treble” trimmer. For instance, if you set “Tone” control high, you will likely turn the “Treble” control down to compensate, which will result in the same basic tone but with less bass. Start out with the “Tone” at 12 o’clock and then adjust the “Treble” trimmer. Of course, you may like that better, so experiment! Adjust the trimmer while the pedal is on so you can hear what is happening. Don’t be afraid to experiment! Don't worry about breaking anything, these little trimmers can take allot of abuse and are very hard to break. Nothing is against the rules here, use your ears and go with what you like.

Saturation (internal trim) - This is the trimmer that is to the left of the “treble” trimmer when looking inside the pedal. The effect is very subtle and adjustments may not even be audible in some setups (due to the amp’s compression or pickup output). It varies two things, mostly the threshold voltage of a clipping section but to a lesser extent it also varies the amount of low end that is being passed through that clipping section. So when it is turned clockwise you get a slightly smoother and warmer sound, when it is turned counter clockwise it is crunchier and brighter. Once again this is a preference thing, no right or wrong way
